This project, which involved the construction of Singapore's first 400kV electric power district, followed the Singaporean government's mid- to long-term electric power district construction plan. Taihan was awarded a turn-key contract to oversee the project from design to production, pulling, and connection of 400kV EHV cables - the highest voltage used for Singapore's underground power cables - as well as the supply of required equipment and materials and final testing, which took approximately three years to complete.

The main electric power districts were located 80m underneath Singapore's subway network (MRT), with some sections necessitating the construction of an undersea tunnel. Given the project's numerous environmental constraints, which were significantly more than those of standard projects, and the sheer volume of sophisticated technology necessary, Taihan encountered several substantial hurdles in completing this project. However, in consideration of the local environment, the company designed and implemented methodical and well-organized project management and planning, all of which contributed to the project's success and improving customer satisfaction. Because of these efforts, the project was highly recognized by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore, allowing Taihan to win another order for the NDC319 400kV project in 2022.
