Taihan secures EHV project contract in the middle east
Taihan landed a USD 13 million 132 kV extra-high voltage project in Dubai and a USD 11 million 220 kV extra-high voltage project in Qatar.
Commissioned by the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), the Dubai project involves installing subterranean lines connecting new substations installed across various parts of Dubai and replacing overhead lines. Taihan will not only supply all 132 kV extra-high voltage cables and connecting components but also supervise the connection work of all components for the project.
The Qatar project involves supplying cables and connecting components and executing connection work to facilitate the expansion of roads and relevant equipment in the Al Rayyan area (central Qatar). Commissioned by Ashghal (the Public Works Authority of Qatar), analysis suggests that Taihan’s success in executing projects with the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) helped the company earn positive marks for the contract. Meanwhile, Taihan continues to increase its sales presence in the Middle East. Apart from the two aforementioned projects, the company also secured a USD 1.5 million 132 kV extra-high voltage project in Dubai.
