Taihan takes the US distribution cable market!
Taihan recently secured its second consecutive contract to supply distribution cables in California, USA. Both contracts involve delivering distribution cables to repair and replace components used in the old electrical system across California. Worth USD 18 million and USD 4 million, respectively, the contracts are fairly substantial for distribution cable projects in terms of value. California is also expected to carry out follow-up works for its electrical system. As such, Taihan is looking forward to securing additional contracts, moving forward.
According to a company official, the body of work and trust, which Taihan was able to build while executing multiple extra-high voltage cable projects in the US market, became the foundation upon which it secured its latest contract. In fact, Taihan has continued to deliver outstanding results in the North American extra-high voltage cable market. Earlier this year, the company secured a contract for 500kV extra-high voltage cables used in the Sunzia project; contracts for 230kV projects in San Diego and Florida, USA; and a contract for a 138 kV project in New York, USA.
