Hoban Sarangnanumi Active Social Contribution Initiative
In December of last year, the Hoban Group's employee volunteer group, “Hoban Sarangnanumi, carried out a activity in Hwa-hwe Village, Jangji-dong, Seoul. Despite the harsh winter weather, approximately 100 volunteers participated in this campaign to help the neighbors in need.
A total of 6,000 pieces of charcoal were delivered to around 20 households. In addition, employees provided homes with essential items, totaling 600kg of rice, 600kg of kimchi, and 183 boxes of instant noodles, etc.
In January of this year, the team initiated a “Voice Donation” volunteer activity. This involved reading storybooks aloud for underprivileged children who are unable to access suitable reading materials. The recorded storybooks, along with reading assistive devices, were donated to visually impaired children, multicultural families, and other marginalized groups.
In March, 2023, the volunteers engaged in an activity called “Creating Learning Kits.” After receiving training from an art instructor, the volunteers personally illustrated eco-bags with messages of hope. The completed eco-bags were packed with stationery sets, paint, tumblers, and other items, and were then distributed to over 100 underprivileged children.
