• Outdoor Termination (EB-A): This is classified into outdoor installation and contaminated area installation. EB-A for outdoor installation is used for interconnecting overhead lines and underground lines to outdoor substations, while EB-A for contaminated area installation is for preventing flash over due to contamination of salt or dust, etc. in the vicinity of the coast or in the factory area.
• Gas-Insulated Termination (EB-G): This is mainly installed in an indoor substation, and used when the space is narrow or the separation distance from other buildings is limited, or when terminating SF6 gas-based minimized switching device cables.
• Oil-Insulated Termination (EB-O): This is similar to EB-G, and is used when connecting cables and transformers within the elephant type.

• Pre-Molded Joint (PMJ): As the most preferred type internationally, it has a simple structure for easy installation. It is used to interconnect between cables and includes the Normal Joint (PMNJ) connecting the conductors at both ends with the metal sheath, and the Insulation Joint (PMIJ) separating the metal sheaths from each other.
• Prefabricated Joint (PJ) : This is used to reduce the work required to install the junction box.
  Application of quality-controlled products contributes to improving the reliability of the joint boxes.

This joint is for branching one cable line into two lines regardless of the type of cable such as XLPE or OF cable. By branching of power lines in the cable section, which was only available within the existing GIS station, it reduces the cost of new installation and enables additional branching of already installed lines.
